Scientific Advisor
Colwyn Headley PhD is a Post-Doctoral Fellow, Stanford University, Cardiovascular Institute (CVI). At CVI he is investigating the complex interplay between aging-associated mitochondrial dysfunction and immune dysregulation, which are both causes and consequences of various chronic pathologies in the elderly. Under the mentorship of Dr. Philip Tsao, a renowned cardiovascular scientist, he is currently investigating whether preserving mitochondrial health through transplantation can mitigate immuno-cardiovascular dysfunctions associated with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), a CVD that is strongly associated with aging.
